बिन बादल बरसात नहीं होती,

Dussehra

In the months of Ashwin and kartik, Hindus observe a 10 day ceremony of fast,rituals, celebrations, fiests to honor the mother Goddess and triumph of Lord Rama over Demon Ravana. Dussehra also symbolizes the triumph of warrior Goddess Durga over the buffalo demon, Mahishasura. Thus, it is a celebration of victory of good over evil.

This celebration starts from Navratri and ends with the tenth day festival of “Dussehra”. Navratri and Dussehra is celebrated throughout the country at the same time, with varying rituals, but with greatenthusiasm and energy as it marks the end of scorching summer and the start of winter season.

The tenth day after Navratri is called Dussehra, on which number of fairs are organized throughout the northern India, burning effigies of Ravana.It is also called “Vijayadashmi” as this day marks the victory of Lord Rama over Ravana. VijayaDashami is considered to be an auspicious day for the Indian householder, on which he worships, protects and preserves 'Shakti' (power). According to Scriptures, by worshipping the 'Shakti' on these nine-days the householders attain the threefold power i.e. physical, mental and spiritual, which helps him to progress in life without any difficulty.

The 'Ramlila' - an enactment of the life of Lord Rama, is held during the nine days preceding Dussehra. On the tenth day (Dussehra or Vijay Dasami), larger than life effigies of Ravana, his son and brother - Meghnadh and Kumbhakarna are set to fire.

The theatrical enactment of this dramatic encounter is held throughout the country in which every section of people participates enthusiastically.

In burning the effigies the people are asked to burn the evil within them, and thus follow the path of truth and goodness, bearing in mind the instance of Ravana, who despite all his might and majesty was destroyed for his evil ways.

Legends

Dussehra is also known as Vijaya Dasami, because of the victory of Ram over Ravana. On this day in Satya Yug, Ram (the eighth incarnation ofLord Vishnu), killed the great demon and king of Lanka, Ravana.

Puranas also opined that in this day warrior Goddess Durga defeated and killed the buffalo demon Mahishasura.

करवा चौथ

 रिश्तों की गरिमा है करवा चौथ

पति   की दीर्घायु  की कामना 

शगुन  देने की परंपरा 

करवा चौथ का महिलायों को लंबे समय से इंतजार रहता है | जिन लडकियों की पहली  करवा चौथ होती है , उनका उत्साह   देखते ही बनता है | यह व्रत सुहागिन स्त्रिया पति की लंबी उम्र की कामना के लिए करती है |  कही  कही इसे 'हरतालिका तीज ' भी कहते है | उद्देश्य  एक ही होता है | पुरे दिन निर्जल व्रत रखकर इश्वर से पति परमेश्वर की दीर्घायु की प्रार्थना करती है | अपनी मन पसंद की ड्रेस के साथ- साथ सासु- माँ के लिए भी खरीदारी की जाती है | क्योकि  उन्हें भी तो बायेने में शगुन के रूप में कुश देना है | इन पंक्तियों के साथ शगुन के रूप में कुश देना है | इन पंक्तियों के साथ शगुन देना उनकी आत्मा को बड़ा  सुख देता है - ' माँ ने तो हमे जन्म दिया,  तुमने दिया हमे प्यारा पिया/ सौ सौ साल जियो हमारी  सासुजी................' एक दिन पहले स्त्रिया अपने हाथ- पेरो  मेहँदी लगाती और लगवाती है |  

                                         चौथ  माता की पूजा  

 करवा चौथ व्रत हिंदी महीने के कार्तिक माह के कृष्ण पक्ष की चौथ को रखा जाता है | स्त्रिया उस दिन निर्जल व्रत रखती है, पर घर की बड़ी बुजुर्ग  महिलाए पहली करवा चौथ के व्रत के दिन ही कथा सुनने के बाद शाम को चार पाँच बजे के करीब चाय पिला देती है, ताकि भविष्य में यदि  न  रहा जाए तो कोई वहम न रहे | स्त्रिया सुब्ह ही नहाकर  पूर्ण श्रंगार कर लेती है | दुल्हन की तरह सज जाती है | पूजा के स्थान को स्वछ कर वहा करवा चौथ का एक चित्र लगा लेती है | अब तो यह चित्र कलेंडर के रूप सब जगह आसानी से मिल जाता है | पर कुश घरो में चावल  को पीस कर चावल और गेहू से चौथ माता की आक्रति दीवार पार  बनाई जाती है | इसमें सुहाग  की सभी वस्तुए जेसे  सिंदूर , बिंदी , बिचुया ,कंगा  ,शीशा , चूड़ी , महावर  आदि बनाते है |     

चन्द्र से बरसेगा अमृत

२२ अक्टूम्बर शरद पूर्णिमा
शरीर के वात- पित्त - कफ के अनुचित सयोजन से असाम्यता आती है | शीतल दुग्ध व चावल इस असाम्यता का उसित मात्रा में सयोजन क्र व्याधियों को दूर भगाता है | इसलिए शरद पूर्णिमा को दुग्ध - खीर चंद्र किरणों में रखी जाती है | ठाकुरजी को भोग लगाकर प्रसाद रूप में सभी को दी जाती है |
आशिवन सुक्ल पूर्णिमा को पूर्ण चंद्र से अमृत वर्षा होती है | इस समय वर्षा ऋतु का समापन हो जाता है |  आसमान स्वच्छ व निर्मल होता है |  

शक्ति पर्व विजयादशमी

विजयादशमी का त्योहार वर्षा ऋतू की समाप्ति तथा शरद के आरम्भ में आती है |
भारतीय संस्कृति वीरता की पूजक है, शोर्य की उपासक है | व्यक्ति और समाज के रक्त में वीरता प्रकट हो इसलिए दशहरे का उत्सव रखा जाता है |
इस दिन नीलकंठ पक्षी का दर्शन सुभ माना जाता है |
दशहरा सभी  लोग धूम-धाम से मनाते है |
असत्य पर सत्य की विजय का  प्रतीक है |
इस पर्व को भगवती (विजया) के नाम पर विजयादशमी कहते है | साथ ही इस दिन रामचन्द्रजी ने रावण का वध किया था इस लिए इस पर्व  को विजयादशमी कहते है |
